    How Does an Electromechanical Relay Work?
    The fundamental operation of an electromechanical relay revolves around the electromagnetic induction principle. When an electric current flows through the relay’s coil, it generates a magnetic field that attracts an armature, which is a movable metal part inside the relay. This attraction causes the armature to move and engage or disengage contacts in the relay’s circuit. Depending on the design, these contacts can either be normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC).
    Normally Open (NO): When the relay is not energized, the contacts remain open, and no current flows through the connected circuit. However, once the coil is energized, the magnetic field pulls the armature, causing the contacts to close and allowing current to flow.
