    What is an Electromagnetic Relay?
    An electromagnetic relay consists of an electromagnet, a spring, a set of contacts, and an armature. The electromagnet is a coil of wire wound around a metal core. When an electric current passes through the coil, it creates a magnetic field that attracts a movable armature. The armature is connected to a set of contacts, and when the electromagnet is energized, the armature moves, causing the contacts to either open or close, depending on the design of the relay.
    This process allows the relay to control circuits without requiring direct physical contact between the control circuit and the switched circuit, which helps protect sensitive components from electrical surges. The contacts can be designed as normally open (NO) or normally closed (NC), determining whether the circuit is connected or disconnected when the relay is inactive.
