    A 24VDC relay is a type of electromagnetic switch designed to operate with a 24V direct current input. It consists of a coil, a set of contacts, and a spring mechanism. When a current flows through the coil, it generates a magnetic field that attracts or repels an armature, causing the relay’s contacts to open or close. This simple yet effective mechanism allows the relay to control circuits with higher power using lower control voltages, making it a versatile and widely used component in electrical systems.
    Working Principle of 24VDC Relays
    The basic working principle behind a 24VDC relay is electromagnetic induction. When 24VDC is supplied to the relay’s coil, the current passing through the coil generates a magnetic field. This magnetic field attracts the armature, causing it to move and either close or open the contacts of the relay, depending on the relay’s configuration (Normally Open - NO or Normally Closed - NC). Once the power is turned off, the magnetic field collapses, and the armature returns to its original position due to the spring force.
