The main function of the BMS Thermal Control Relay is to manage the temperature of the battery pack. Batteries, particularly lithium-ion ones commonly used in electric vehicles and other high-performance applications, are highly sensitive to temperature. Both overheating and overcooling can degrade battery performance, reduce its lifespan, or even cause catastrophic failures.
